Sliding gates are particularly useful when space is a premium, and offer a high level of security. Where gradient is a problem Cantilever systems can be utilised as an alternative to a track. Safety control is straightforward as the gate only moves along a single line and the cables can be run in the same trench as the gate track. Decisions about what operator to use are based upon weight of the gate ranging from 400 Kg up to 2000 Kg. All sliding gates require an additional overhang to support themselves. This starts at around 600mm and increases with the gate width. If time and program permits the complete gate and track can be assembled at our factory and literally placed into position.
