Access Control

Access control systems manage and regulate who can enter or exit a property or area, offering security, convenience, and efficiency. They work seamlessly with gates, barriers, bollards, and turnstiles to ensure that only authorised people or vehicles can gain access. Whether automating entry to a driveway, restricting vehicle access to a car park, or managing pedestrian flow in an office or stadium, access control enhances safety and simplifies operations. These systems are tailored to meet the needs of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, providing a flexible and reliable solution.

GSM Intercom Systems (Audio Only)

GSM intercom systems are reliable and user-friendly solutions, designed to work seamlessly with gates, barriers, bollards, and turnstiles. By utilising the GSM network, these systems eliminate the need for extensive cabling between the entrance and the property, making them ideal for installations where wiring is impractical.

Calls from the intercom are received on your standard telephone or mobile phone, offering flexibility and convenience. These systems come in two configurations:

  • A single call button model for individual properties.

  • A screen model that supports up to 100 users, perfect for multiple properties. Both options can include a backlit coded entry keypad for secure access.

How It Works

The GSM intercom system operates using a SIM card, which must be provided by the customer.

Choosing the Right SIM Plan:

  • For residential properties – A pay-as-you-go SIM with £50 credit typically lasts a year.

  • For multiple properties or frequent use – A contract SIM starts from as little as £8 per month.

To find the best network provider for your location, we recommend www.signalchecker.co.uk.

Easy Setup & Operation:

  1. We program your home or mobile phone number into the intercom’s auto-dial memory.

  2. When a visitor presses the button, the system dials your phone.

  3. Answer the call to speak with your visitor and press ‘#’ to grant access.

  4. If you're unavailable, the system can divert calls to another number (e.g., a partner’s mobile or your work phone), ensuring you never miss an important visitor or delivery.

Benefits of a GSM Intercom System

  • Wireless Convenience: No cabling required between the property and entrance.

  • User-Friendly: As simple as answering a phone call.

  • Flexible Access: Speak to visitors and grant access from anywhere.

  • Reliable: Operates smoothly in areas with a good mobile phone signal.

  • Cost-Effective: Single call button systems start at £1200 + VAT. Contact us for pricing on multi-property setups.

The GSM intercom system is a practical and dependable solution, especially for locations where cabling isn’t feasible. If you’d like to learn more or receive a quote, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

IP Intercom Systems

IP intercom systems are advanced and versatile solutions for managing access to gates, barriers, bollards, and turnstiles. These systems are ideal for sites with existing Cat5e cabling or new-build properties where new cabling can be installed. By using IP technology, these intercoms provide high-quality audio and video communication, offering a modern and convenient way to manage entry and security.

IP intercoms typically feature an external call panel with a camera and, optionally, a digital keypad for secure access. Inside the property, a 7-inch monitor allows for seamless interaction with visitors. When a visitor arrives, they press the call button on the external panel, which sends an audio and video feed to the monitor. You can then speak with the visitor, view their video feed, and release the gate, barrier, or bollard by pressing a button on the screen.

We also offer a 2-wire system that provides similar capabilities to the IP intercom system. This system is ideal for sites where an existing intercom is already installed but does not use Cat5e cabling. The 2-wire system requires just two cores, making it extremely versatile for upgrading older systems to modern standards. It’s a great option for customers with outdated audio-only intercoms who want the benefits of video and app integration without the need to install new cables.

How It Works

  • At the Entrance: Visitors press the call button on the external panel, which includes a built-in camera for the video feed.

  • Inside the Property: The call is received on the 7-inch monitor, where you can see the visitor, converse, and release the access point if required by pressing the screen.

  • On the Go: The system integrates with a mobile app, so you can receive calls and manage access from anywhere. When a visitor arrives, your phone app notifies you, enabling you to see, speak with, and grant access remotely.

Benefits of IP and 2-Wire Intercom Systems

  • Audio and Video Integration: See and speak with visitors before granting access.

  • App Connectivity: Manage access remotely via a dedicated mobile app, ensuring you never miss a visitor, even when you’re away.

  • Flexibility:

    • IP intercoms are perfect for modern properties with Cat5e cabling.

    • The 2-wire system is an excellent solution for upgrading older systems with minimal disruption.

  • Enhanced Security: Provides a clear video feed and secure access options, such as a digital keypad for multiple users.

IP and 2-wire intercom systems offer sleek, efficient ways to manage access, combining modern technology with user-friendly features. Contact us today to learn more about how these systems can enhance your property’s security and convenience.

Paxton Access Control Systems

As a certified Paxton installer, we provide complete new systems or expand your existing setup to meet your security needs. This is especially common for schools and businesses upgrading or adding to their current systems.

For example, when a school installs a new front gate, we can fit a Paxton intercom at the gate and integrate it with the existing Paxton network. This allows teachers to use their tag readers for entry and exit, while visitors can call the existing internal monitors for access.

We can also help secure specific areas, such as bin storage spaces, by installing a Paxton card reader, magnetic lock, and door closer with an internal push button. This setup allows you to track who accesses the area and ensures it remains secure.

Contact us today to discuss how we can enhance your property’s security with Paxton access control systems.

Free Exit Solutions

Free exit systems allow vehicles to exit a property automatically, without the need for remote or manual intervention. We offer two main solutions to suit different environments:

1. Induction Loops
An induction loop functions as a metal detector, sensing the presence of a vehicle and sending a signal to open the gate, barrier, or bollard. This solution is highly versatile and can be installed in various ways:

  • Tarmac: The loop is cut into the road surface, similar to systems used at traffic lights.

  • Block Paving: We lift the paving blocks, install the loop underneath, and then refit the blocks for a seamless finish.

  • Construction Sites: For new builds, we supply pre-made loops encased in conduit. These can be laid by the builder as the road surface is completed, ensuring a smooth installation process.

2. Above-Ground Vehicle Detection Sensors

This solution uses a combination of microwave and ultrasonic waves to detect the presence of a vehicle, rather than relying on metal content. It’s an excellent option for properties where digging into the surface isn’t possible, such as driveways with resin finishes or other specialised surfaces.

Both options are effective, reliable, and tailored to suit your site’s specific needs. Whether you’re upgrading an existing system or installing a new one, our free exit solutions ensure smooth and automated vehicle access.

Key Features:

  • Automatic Access: Recognises authorised number plates and automatically opens gates, barriers, or bollards.

  • Convenience: No need for remotes or cards; access is granted based on the vehicle’s number plate.

  • Tracking and Security: Records vehicle entries and exits, making it ideal for monitoring and auditing.

  • Versatility: Suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, including car parks, delivery depots, and gated communities

ANPR cameras are particularly beneficial for high-traffic areas or where frequent users need hassle-free access. Contact us today to learn how ANPR technology can streamline access control for your property.

Digital Keypads

Digital keypads offer a simple and effective access control solution. Users can gain access by entering a 4-digit code, which triggers the release of gates, barriers, bollards, or other access points. This reliable and easy-to-use system is perfect for both residential and commercial properties.

Key Features:

  • Ease of Use: Simply enter a code to operate the system—no keys or remotes required.

  • Reprogrammable: Codes can be easily changed, ensuring continued security.

  • Wireless Options: For locations where cabling is not feasible, we offer wireless keypads, providing flexibility without compromising functionality.

Digital keypads are a cost-effective, user-friendly access control solution. Contact us to learn how a digital keypad can enhance your property’s security and convenience.

Fireman Switches

Fireman switches provide rapid access for emergency services to secured areas, such as gates, barriers, or buildings. These key-operated switches may be required as part of your property's fire safety plan, allowing first responders to quickly override electronic security systems. Emergency services carry the keys as standard, ensuring they can access your site when needed.

While essential for safety, it’s important to note that fireman keys are widely available online, which could pose a potential security risk.

Contact us to learn more about fireman switches and how they can be integrated into your fire safety plan.
